Lacey Helmuth is a globe wandering artist and illustrator who doesn't live anywhere in particular as of yet but takes on commissions and clients from all over the world. Her portfolio is made up of architectural illustrations, city and estate maps, encyclopedic and botanical illustrations, and custom-designed bookplates. She makes works on paper in watercolour, ink, gouache, and pencil.
 

Her work stems from her preoccupation with observing and inspecting places, reading lots of words, making up lists and categories of strange things, and devouring architectural and decorative elements like they were her long-awaited supper. She has traveled extensively - learning and expanding her knowledge by volunteering on building restoration throughout Europe and most recently, studying in Oxford, where most of her clients are located. She specializes in producing meticulous and perfect architectural drawings of university buildings.
